Why We Grow Differently
FAQ
GeniGrow doesn't just feed your plants - it injects life into the soil which in turn makes nutrients bioavailable to plants. While traditional fertilizers use synthetic chemicals for a quick green-up, GeniGrow uses patented living microbes and organic nutrients to restore soil health and boost plant growth long-term. That means healthier roots, better drought resistance, greater stress resilience, and a more productive and overall resilient garden soil over time as the nutrient cycling becomes a self-sustaining process.
Yes, all active ingredients are nontoxic, certified organic, and leave no harmful residues. No need to stay away from fresh applications like other products suggest. Our products are completely safe for people, pets, pollinators, pastures, and waterways!
You sure can – lawns, vegetable gardens, herbs, flowers, fruit trees, berries, and houseplants… the list goes on. If it’s a plant it can benefit from healthier soil biology and our blend of all-natural nutrients.
The concentrate itself does have a slight odor, but once diluted, it does not smell at all. If you are mixing it outdoors you likely won’t even notice it at all.
Every type of plant is a little different, but in general, we recommend as follows: Young plants, leafy greens, or heavy feeders: every 1-2 weeksTrees and shrubs: seasonally as recommended Flowers and herbs: every 4-6 weeks
Please note: there are hundreds of thousands of different kinds of known plants and infinite soil types, so there are no exact simple ways to answer this broad of a question. Begin here and adjust upward or downward based on results.
1 oz/gallon water | Newly emerged seedlings, flowers, herbs |
1.5 oz/gallon water | Leafy greens and young plants, houseplants |
2 oz/gallon water | Mature plants, heavy feeders, tropicals |
3 oz/gallon water | Fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes |
Not easily! It takes significant overfeeding over an extended time to see detrimental effects. The most common outcome is yellowing between veins, known as interveinal chlorosis. This is entirely reversible with an applied solution made from 1 Tablespoon per gallon of water. Spray evenly on both sides of leaves in the early morning or evening. Apply once every 1–2 weeks until symptoms improve (typically 2–4 applications), then reduce to monthly maintenance if necessary. You’re a very caring plant owner for caring enough to even ask this question, and now you know what to watch for.
Absolutely. In fact, this is where our products really shine. They are specifically engineered to inject biological activity into depleted soils. Not only will it kick-start microbial activity, but if you add our products to compost, it will accelerate the decomposition process. Of course adding organic matter into depleted soil helps improve things, but the process takes time. Expect to see gradual improvement over several years with the real magic happening after year #3 for perennials.
This is a Living product. As such, it must stay stored between 50-95°F or the living microbes will die. Do NOT refrigerate. Indoor storage is highly recommended.
Each bottle is marked with a date stamp, approximately 12-16 months from time of purchase. Remember that the bottle doesn’t suddenly ‘go bad’ right after the date stamp, it just begins to decrease in microbial health. The nutrients in it remain intact. It should be discarded if 6 months past its expiration date.
Mix and use right away. Adding the concentrate to water activates the microbes, bringing them out of shelf stable hibernation. Use what you’ve mixed within 72 hours or you will see how full of life it is as things start growing inside the container. This is only the mixture, however. The concentrate will stay shelf stable and viable until its date stamp even after it’s opened.
Eden Earth's liquid formula provides several advantages over granular alternatives. Initially, granular products require breaking down in soil before becoming available to plants. Eden Earth's liquid delivery system ensures immediate accessibility of both nutrients and beneficial organisms. Additionally, Eden Earth's concentrated formula (one quart creates 25 gallons) makes it considerably more efficient than bulky granular options. Also, it is infinitely more customizable through exact measurements and applications. Should one overapply granular time-release fertilizer, it’s in the soil and there is nothing that can be done about it.
When it comes to application methods, fertilizers offer two primary pathways to feed plants: root feeding and foliar feeding. (yes, you can feed plants immediately through their leaves and we’ve planned for this very option in our product.)
- Root feeding represents the most common and natural approach, matching how plants have evolved to take up nutrients. Applied directly to soil through irrigation systems (fertigation), drenching, or incorporation, root-applied fertilizers allow plants to absorb nutrients through their extensive root systems. Liquid organic fertilizers excel in this application because they deliver immediately available nutrients while supporting, rather than harming, beneficial soil organisms.
- Foliar feeding alternatively, involves spraying nutrient solutions directly onto plant leaves. This technique bypasses potential soil issues like pH imbalances or nutrient tie-up that might otherwise block absorption. For rapidly correcting deficiencies or delivering micronutrients during critical growth stages, foliar application offers significant advantages. For GeniGrow, mix at 3oz/gallon to make a foliar feed.
Several distinct benefits over granular options in a regenerative system:
- Rapid nutrient availability, allowing quick correction of deficiencies
- Uniform application through irrigation systems
- Precise control over nutrient ratios for different growth stages
- Reduced soil compaction from heavy application equipment
Conversely, granular fertilizers often contain binders and fillers that contribute little to plant nutrition, plus they typically release more slowly and less predictably, especially during drought conditions. Furthermore, granular products pose greater environmental risks through surface runoff during heavy rain events.
Together with soil inoculants, properly selected liquid organic fertilizers create the optimal conditions for growing truly nutrient-dense food. This combination supports the complex soil food web while ensuring plants have access to all required nutrients—the perfect foundation for maximizing both crop yield and nutritional quality.
